America's Got Talent season 20 wrapped up last night, and let's give a round of applause to winner Jessica Sanchez!
Over the summer, fans have tuned in every week to see the best acts vie for the winning title on the NBC competition series. Throughout the season, Jessica (who's competed amid the finals weeks of her first pregnancy!) had audiences hooked with her incredible performances, which wowed judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Mel B, and Howie Mandel. And if that's not enough, comments kept pouring in after every episode about how she deserved to be the one to win it all.
So, when it came down to Jessica, Chris Turner, and Jourdan Blue as the final three during the September 24 finale, Jessica beat out everyone to become the next winner of America's Got Talent.
"Let’s give a round of applause for the Season 20 winner of AGT! 👏," the announcement read on Instagram shortly after the winner was revealed on live TV.
Upon learning of Jessica's major win, fans ran to social media to celebrate on their shocking success.
"She deserved it! 🙌," one person wrote in the comments. "SCREAAAMING!!!!!!!😩🥹🩷🩷🩷 YESSS. We are all so proud of you, Jessica 🩷," another exclaimed. "What a story to tell her child!! 🙌," a different follower added.
As fans may remember, Jessica's journey on AGT initially started back in season 1. At the time, she made it all the way to the semifinals before getting eliminated. After that, she also competed on American Idol season 11, where she placed runner-up behind winner Phillip Phillips.
As far as how Jessica feels about winning AGT, she went on her Instagram stories to profusely thank her fans for this incredible journey.
"Hey everybody — I just won AGT season 20! I just wanna thank you guys so much! I've just been an emotional wreck. This is such a long time coming — I love you guys. Thank you for everything, America! I love you, I love you!"
