We all love an emoji – whether it’s because we’re feeling lazy, trying to impress our teenage kids or simply feel that one of those little pictures perfectly sums up just what we want to say.
But, as they originated in Asia, their intended meaning can sometimes get lost in translation. And that’s exactly what’s happening to the sassy girl emoji – you know the one with the happy looking girl holding her hand up next to her face as if to say ‘oh, hey!’

The latest theory which attempts to explain what the sassy girl actually means is from an events planner in Toronto. She suggests that the emoji is actually the second part of a series – the first one being the emoji of the girl getting her hair cut.
Apparently, the sassy girl is simply showing off her new hair do.
