A new trailer for the upcoming Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds documentary has been released, and it’s heartbreaking.
The release date for HBO documentary Bright Lights has been pushed forward to 7th January after the mother and daughter actresses passed away one day apart last month.
During 2014 and 2015, Carrie and Debbie, who lived next to each other, let a camera crew into their homes and lives to capture their relationship.

They also shared unseen home movies, including photos from Debbie’s wedding and footage of Carrie growing up.
Now, a trailer has been released to tease the documentary – and it’s very touching.

In the trailer, we get a glimpse of just how close the pair were. They also open up about Carrie’s mental health struggles, growing up in Hollywood, how ageing is affecting Debbie’s health and their loving relationship.
Carrie died after suffering cardiac arrest during a flight and her mother passed away the following day from a stroke.
Reports claim they will have a joint funeral, which is thought to take place today.
