It’s a classic and timeless program, but after 32 years of existence, Paint might be on its way out.

Windows has listed a collection of programs that are either being 'removed or deprecated'. The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update has included Paint in its 'deprecated' column, indicating that the program is 'not in active development and might be removed in future releases.'


This comes as no surprise as Microsoft had introduced a new app called Paint 3D in October 2016. With this app, users can take images and turn portions of the image into 3D objects, or turn a 2D doodle into a 3D photo.

Paint has been included in every version of Microsoft since the first version of Windows, Windows 1.0, in 1985.

And while it may be outdated now, it certainly gave us some fun in our youth!
