We've finally entered November, meaning it’s time to pull out your knitted jumpers, have the hot chocolate flowing and get ready for the rollout of Christmas adverts.

Department store Harrods is the first to kick off the Christmas advert competition with A Very British Bear, featuring a sweet teddy named Hugh.

Hugh, who works in a palace called Harrods, comes across a cheeky elf, who freezes the palace and all of its workers – all except Hugh, who was ‘too snuggly to freeze’.

After climbing to the top of the palace with a sign saying ‘Help Father Christmas’, Hugh manages to capture the attention of Santa Claus and saves Christmas.

Development for the advert began in January and it was written by Deborah Bee, Director of Creative Marketing at Harrods, meaning ideas for next year's advert are probably already flowing.
