We are counting down the days until Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens for its 14th series, and the BBC team has been teasing us with celeb line-up announcements throughout the week.

So far, we have five brand new contestants confirmed for the dance floor.

The first contestant to announce their position on the show is Ed Balls, ex-Labour MP and husband of current Labour MP Yvette Cooper.

He was followed by singer-songwriter Will Young, and BBC Sport presenter Ore Oduba, who is currently in Rio presenting Olympic coverage.

The only female contestant to be announced so far is Laura Whitmore, who is best known for presenting I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! NOW! And the latest celeb to confirm their appearance is her friend and former co-host, Melvin Odoom, who is also well known for presenting The Xtra Factor.
