The crowds were out in force, thrilled to be a part of the celebrations to mark the Queen's 90th birthday. The military event began at 10am, with an RAF fly-past due to happen at 1pm. Many are hoping Prince George and Princess Charlotte will join the royal party on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch.

A flotilla of boats will then proceed down the River Thames, lead by royal rowbarge Gloriana where Sir Steve Redgrave will be one of the oarsmen, alongside Paralympians and ex-servicemen.

Tomorrow will see 10,000 guests attend a street party along The Mall to enjoy a wicker hamper picnic provided by Marks & Spencer, and to watch a carnival-style parade.

Let's hope the sun shines!
