Fans of wizardry rejoice - J.K. Rowling has confirmed that Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be part of a trilogy of movies!

The news came as the best-selling author took to Twitter to clear up rumours about a cinematic adaptation of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

A Harry Potter fan tweeted her excitement over rumours that the successful theatre production Cursed Child would be turned into a film.

But Rowling replied, confirming that while Cursed Child will remain as a play only, ‘Fantastic Beasts will be three movies, though!’

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them follows the journey of Newt Scamander, who will be played by Eddie Redmayne, and his journey across New York to attend a magical convention.
