We’ve got a little while before we finally bid farewell to our favourite period drama characters (Downton Abbey season 6 airs in September), but we’ve been given a little sneak peek in the form of still photographs from the filming final series.

Very poignantly, the main image features the entire cast - including Dame Maggie Smith and Hugh Bonneville - posing in front of the Abbey as the sun sets on their final story.
