Jeremy Paxman, Bond girl Dame Diana Rigg and Nancy Dell’Olio are just some of the big names appearing at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which starts on 1 August and is set to be the biggest yet.

Paxman will make his Fringe debut with his frank and controversial one-man show Paxo, while Dame Diana’s performance of No Stone Unturned offers an insight into some of the worst theatrical reviews in history, and how to survive them. Nancy will be sharing her secrets of surviving a life of glamour in her one-hour event, Rainbows from Diamonds.

Other big names at the arts extravaganza, which runs until 25 August, include Ruby Wax, poet Pam Ayres and Jimmy Carr.
