The best of Julie Walters' Indian Summers costumes

Channel 4's hotly anticipated Indian Summers kicked off last night, and while we'd give a positive review to the show, the thing we loved the most was Julie Walters' wardrobe. Here's what she had to say about her costumes and some of our favourites...

One of the first things we noticed in Indian Summers was the pattern on Julie Walters' skirt in her first scene.

When we spoke to her for our January cover she told us: 'The clothes were all amazing!'

She went on, 'I wear a lot of beaded stuff and sing old music hall songs'.

Such vibrant colours!

The cast was shooting in Penang in Malaysia and Julie told us the costumes were 'all made out there', hence all the amazing colours of the fabrics.
