Victoria Beckham's much-anticipated Netflix documentary finally drops today (9 October), and director Nadia Hallgren has opened up about what it was like filming with the star and her famous family behind-the-scenes. Speaking in a release to tie in with the three-part documentary's launch, Nadia gave a first-hand insight into the dynamic between Victoria and her children.
Reflecting on some of the highlights of filming, Nadia said, 'Anytime Victoria is with her family was the best, in terms of that's when all the guards go down and she's truly herself.' While it's clear the mum-of-four has a close relationship with her kids, it doesn't mean they don't like to poke fun at her just like any other family.
'They roast her so hard and tease her,' said Nadia. 'But they're the most loving family. You feel like that's a family you want to be a part of, and so any time they were all together, it was just fun.'

The director particularly pointed to Victoria's relationship with her youngest child and only daughter, Harper Seven Beckham. 'Those moments with Harper, you know, it's also amazing to see Harper at 13 years-old now, and she's a lovely young woman,' she said. 'Victoria, a Spice Girl, one of the most famous pop stars in the world and her daughter is like, "god, not those moves, mum!"'
Nadia confessed that 'really fun' moments like that made shooting the documentary tricky at times: 'The hardest thing is not laughing too hard behind camera of course, because you don't want to be distracting!'
She added that, far from her former steely public persona, Victoria is 'funny, her comedic timing is brilliant.'
