Woman in Mind
WHEN: 9 December 2025 to 28 February 2026
WHERE: Duke of York's Theatre, London
HOW: Book here
If you recently binged ITV’s I Fought the Law (we defy you not to), you’ll have witnessed Sheridan Smith’s triumphant return to the small screen. And now, she’s bringing her brilliance to the stage in Woman in Mind, which is getting a limited (and no doubt sellout) West End run. The revival of Alan Ayckbourn’s psychological comedy is coming to the Duke of York’s Theatre and explores one woman’s fractured reality with heart and humour. When Susan sustains a bump to the head, her world splits in two - one mundane, one imagined - and we can’t think of anyone better than Sheridan to play the part.

Didn’t catch Imelda Staunton’s star turn in Mrs Warren’s Profession the first time round? Now you can watch her West End performance on the big screen. Filmed live from the West End, four-time Olivier Award winner Imelda plays a formidable mother opposite her real-life daughter Bessie Carter (Bridgerton) – but their characters are estranged; Vivie Warren (Bessie) is a woman ahead of her time, while her mother is a product of that old patriarchal order. The result is an exceptionally good mother-daughter story.
