Who said the red carpet has to mean dresses and gowns? This week, there's been a move towards tailoring instead, with stars like Lisa Kudrow eschewing a sweeping skirt for a sleek and sophisticated tuxedo-style suit. While Lisa went for a fitted silhouette, Suranne Jones took things up a notch with a boxy, oversized suit of her own, featuring impressive shoulder pads.
For the UK screening of her latest project, Suranne Jones walked the red carpet at London's Ham Yard Hotel in a chocolate two-piece suit, and shirt. The structured jacket was the lynchpin of the look, with impressive shoulder pads accentuating the silhouette.
Suranne completed the look with a sleek bun and oversized earrings, even matching her glam to her outfit with a chocolate-coloured lipstick.

The star was at the event to promote her new Netflix show Hostage, a high-stakes political thriller launching this week (Thursday 21 August) which will see Suranne play the UK Prime Minster.
Suranne said she was 'thrilled' to be working on the five-part series with Bridge of Spies writer Matt Charman. 'Hostage was perfect - me and Matt together backed up by this brilliant, supportive team. I loved it,' she said in a release. As well as starring in the series, Suranne will also serve as an executive producer.
After being achingly absent our screens, we're excited to see Suranne return with not one but two great dramas. As well as Hostage on Netflix, the Vigil star will also be appearing in Frauds on ITV, opposite Jodie Whittaker later this year.
