Of course, Dame Helen Mirren never looks anything less than fabulous, but we have to say that her latest red carpet look has taken things up a notch. Stepping out for a screening of The Thursday Murder Club in New York, Dame Helen opted for a white monochrome ensemble featuring a billowing pair of barrel-leg trousers.

The floor-length pair of trousers draped asymmetrically up to the waistline and she paired them with an understated long sleeve top, also in white - letting the trousers do the talking. Adding a chunky, statement silver necklace and matching clutch bag finished her outfit, which appeared to have influenced her co-star's own look.

Lining up on the red carpet alongside Dame Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan smiled for the cameras in an off-white shirt and jacket which co-ordinated perfectly with Dame Helen's outfit. The pair were also joined by other stars of the film including Ben Kingsley and Tom Ellis, as well as filmmaker Christopher Columbus.

Dame Helen and Pierce's most recent event together follows their appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where they were discussing their experience behind the scenes filming The Thursday Murder Club.

During the show, host Jimmy Fallon offered the pair some salsa he'd made, which Dame Helen appeared to be enjoying - so much she went back for more. Meanwhile, Pierce Brosnan was left coughing and sipping water, confessing, 'I don't do hot sauce or jalapeño' - much to the audience's amusement.

The Thursday Murder Club film has been adapted from Richard Osman's popular murder mystery series of the same name, and will be available to stream on Netflix later this month.
