Taylor Swift's Pop Tart recipe...her Orange Era is incoming
Jammy marmalade is encased in crispy shortcut pastry and topped with an orange icing 🍊

In Taylor Swift's debut appearance on her boyfriend's (Travis Kelce) podcast, New Heights, she not only announced her upcoming album, but also discussed her newest eating obsessions.
Along with flavoured sourdoughs, the Queen of Pop revealed that she loved making her own Pop Tarts. The conversation then resulted in Swift, Kelce and his brother discussing the need for a Paddington-esque orange flavoured Pop Tart. We had to invent it and give it a go!
Her new album The Life of a Showgirl is orange-coloured themed as well...is Taylor entering her Orange Era?! We think so!
Ingredients
- 320 g
ready rolled shortcrust pastry sheet, we used Jus-Rol
- 6 Tbsp.
fine-cut marmalade
- 1
medium egg, beaten
- 150 g
icing sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp.
freshly squeezed orange juice
Orange food colouring
Sugar sprinkles, optional
Directions
- Step 1Unroll the pastry sheet and gently roll out, if necessary, so it is roughly 23 x 35cm. Cut the pastry sheet into 4 even rectangles.
- Step 2Working with 1 pastry rectangle at a time, with a long edge closest to you, spread 11/2tbsp marmalade over the right 1/2 of each rectangle, leaving a 1cm border at the pastry edges. Repeat with remaining pastry and marmalade.
- Step 3Lightly brush the pastry borders around the filling with egg. Fold pastry over the filling, short side to short side, then crimp pastry edges with a fork to seal. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet, spacing apart. Chill for 15min.
- Step 4Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan) mark 6 and grease and line a large baking sheet with baking parchment.
- Step 5Brush the top of each pastry pocket with egg. Bake for 25min the tops and undersides are golden. Cool on the baking tray.
- Step 6Meanwhile, make the icing. In a small bowl mix the icing sugar with the orange juice. Add enough orange food colouring to reach desired shade and mix.
- Step 7Spread the icing over the pastry, sprinkle over the sugar sprinkles (if using) and leave to set for 10min. Serve.
You can use jam instead of marmalade, if you prefer!
