This wrap recipe is a great alternative to a sandwich, this is just as easy to make. Dressed crab – all the meat of the crab prepared and presented in the shell, ready to eat – can be found on the fish counter in most supermarkets.
Dressed crab simply means cooked crabmeat that has been taken out of its shell. You can either do this yourself, or ask your local fishmonger to do this for you. You can also buy it pre-dressed from plenty of supermarkets.
Made from only 6 ingredients and requiring no cooking, this wrap makes for a very easy lunch option or a picnic option (if it's kept in a cool box prior to consuming).
A handful of baby spinach leaves - around 50 g (2oz), roughly shredded
1
medium Hass avocado, halved, stoned, peeled and thinly sliced
Directions
Step 1
Scoop the crab meat out of its shell and put into a bowl. Add the mayonnaise and lemon juice, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper, then mix well.
Step 2
Put the tortillas on to a flat surface, then spread each with half the crab mixture and half the shredded spinach leaves, then arrange half the avocado along one side. Roll up each tortilla quite tightly, starting with the avocado edge. Cut each wrap in half and serve.
