    What to read next

    The following opening times apply to most of their stores over the weekend:

    • Friday - Normal opening hours

    • Saturday - Normal opening hours

    • Sunday - Normal opening hours (10:30am-4:30pm in most stores)

    • Monday - 8am-10pm

    Same applies to Express and they will vary across the estate. Most will remain open as usual each day over the bank holiday from 7am-11pm.

    Co-op:

    All stores will open as usual over the August bank holiday with the majority of Co-op convenience stores being open from 7am-10pm. There may be variances locally, so check your local store by using Co-op's store finder.

      Iceland:

      Iceland stores will be open as usual across the August bank holiday weekend but recommend using their store locator to check your nearest store opening hours.

        Lidl:

        Lidl has announced changes to its opening hours across the country for the August bank holiday weekend. On Monday 25th August, many of its stores will operate on reduced hours, varying by location.

        Customers are encouraged to check their local store's opening hours via the online store finder or through the Lidl Plus app to plan their visit.

        With high footfall expected ahead of the long weekend, Friday is expected to be the busiest day, with quieter shopping times typically between 8am-10am and after 6pm.

          M&S:

          M&S store opening hours vary depending on the location, but the retailer typically operates on reduced hours on bank holidays. Check your local store opening hours using their store locator.

            Morrisons:

            Main stores in Scotland will be open as normal and stores in England and Wales will open from 7.00am to 8.00pm.

            They advise customers to check the Morrisons store finder for information on your local store's opening hours across the bank holiday weekend.

            Sainsbury's:

            The vast majority of Sainsbury's stores will be open from 7am until 8pm on bank holiday Monday. Convenience stores will be open as usual from 7am to 11pm.

              Tesco:

              Tesco advise their customers check their local store opening hours on their store locator. However, the majority of their large stores across England and Wales will be open from 8am – 6pm.

                Waitrose & Partners:
