The Queen of baking, Dame Mary Berry has partnered with Fortnum & Mason to release a range of exclusive cakes and a beautiful hamper - perfectly timed with the cooler weather this week!
The very special partnership is the perfect way to celebrate her 90th birthday(!) year - and with products that she knows best: cakes and cream tea.
We were lucky enough to sit down with the global baking icon herself at an event at Fortnum & Mason's Piccadilly store in London last week, where she greeted us with sparkling rosé wine, decadent slices of cakes and conversations around this brand-new collection and why it's so close to her heart.

The brand-new collection includes Mary Berry's Cream Tea Selection Hamper, featuring 8 products (and including a whole bottle of English Sparkling Brut Vintage Rosé) and 4 delicious cakes, which are exclusive to the patisserie counter in the Piccadilly store. The cake line-up includes Mary Berry’s Strawberry Frasier Cake, Mary Berry’s indulgent Chocolate Truffle Cake, Mary Berry’s luxury Lemon Cheesecake, and Mary Berry’s Carrot Cake, all available as whole cakes or individual slices.
Our favourite cake was by far the Strawberry Frasier with it's perfectly ripe strawberries that tasted freshly picked, served with a thin layer of marzipan on top that balanced beautifully with the light sponge and cream layers.
And Mary's favourite cake from the range? It's the Luxury Lemon Cheesecake. Refreshing, light and the perfect gift when given whole and packaged up in the lovely gift box it comes in.
The Mary Berry Cream Tea Selection Hamper is a beautiful collection of items personally handpicked by Mary herself which resulted in this limited edition hamper, dedicated to the UK's most delicious tradition: Cream Tea! Inside you'll find Fortnum’s English sparkling brut vintage rosé, loose leaf tea, pistachio & clotted cream biscuits, cherry jam, clotted cream, chocolate truffles, scones and Mary Berry's carrot cake.
Mary Berry said: “I’ve always believed that a good afternoon tea is one of life’s greatest pleasures, and to work with Fortnum & Mason, who are so synonymous with this tradition, has been a joy. Together we’ve created a hamper that I hope brings as much happiness to those who enjoy it as it did to us creating it."
One thing Mary mentioned at the event was that she had tested loads of different jams on scones at her home, before the range launched, and she told us that the cherry jam was a clear standout. Sweet, tart and perfect with cream and tea.
