Nigella Lawson shared a fun new baking hack with a very unexpected piece of kit on the second episode of her new BBC show, Cook, Eat, Repeat, on Monday evening (16 November) – and fans are loving it.
It turns out the TV cook has found a rather inventive way to prove bread, and it involves a shower cap...
That's right, Nigella revealed that she pops a stylish leopard print shower cap over the top of her mixing bowl when letting bread dough prove – don't worry, she was quick to say it has only ever been used in the kitchen – and we have to say it feels like a pretty genius idea.

Proving is, after all, an essential part of the bread making process, allowing the yeast in the dough to multiply so you end up with a light loaf. We love Nigella's sustainable solution of proving with a reusable shower cap rather than single-use cling film.
Fans were clearly delighted by the shower cap trick too, especially because of the glamorous leopard print design Nigella chose.

This is the second time Nigella has showed off a leopard print accessory in her kitchen, after using a chic animal print knife in the debut episode of her new show.
So many viewers tweeted Nigella asking where they could pick up the knife, she ended up replying to reveal it's made by the brand Kuhn Rikon, but has sadly now sold out.
