M&S has just launched the answer to any designated driver's prayers, its new Alcohol-Free Sparkling Botanical G&T in a can. Perfect for non-drinkers or those looking to cut back or, you can now enjoy your favourite tipple without the alcohol.

Promising to taste just like the real deal, it includes fragrant botanicals such as juniper, coriander, lemon balm, cardamom and angelica, which come together to recreate the flavour you know and love, mixed with refreshing tonic to complete the G&T experience.

The supermarket says its new tipple tastes great straight from the tin or can be enjoyed over ice with a slice of lemon.

Edinburgh-based distillery, The Old Curiosity, is the source of the botanicals used in this 'gin', to help create the authentic flavour. The distillery previously worked with M&S to launch its popular colour-changing rose and lavender gins. And, with a garden of 600 naturally grown varieties of herbs and flowers, it was the perfect source of ingredients and experts to create the faux gin.

Jenny Rea, M&S Drinks Product Developer, said in the press release: "This alcohol-free G&T tastes just like the real thing. All the flavours are there, from the juniper notes to those fragrant botanicals that add to that classic gin taste. It is truly delicious. I am sure it is going to be a huge hit with customers!"

Alcohol free sparkling botanical G&T cans, 250ml, are available in M&S Food Halls nationwide. RRP: £1.50.
