At last, Fashion Week has proven that beauty and style really is ageless with the first ever Fifty Plus Fashion Show.
Fashion brand JD Williams opened its catwalk to stunning models all over the age of 50, with the UK’s oldest working model Daphne Selfe, aged 87, closing the refreshing show.

Other famous faces included past Vogue cover girl Marie Helvin, 63, and model Elsa Turnball, 51.
Additionally, the open limit to age didn’t end on the catwalk. All of the models were styled by 70-year-old fashion expert Caroline Barker.

Daphne, who began modelling at the age of 21 when she won a local competition, fell from the scene in the 1960s.

She was then rediscovered aged 70, and has since been photographed for Vogue and fronted numerous campaigns.
The inspirational show featured a mixture of clothes by students at the London College of Fashion and JD William’s AW16 collection.
Members of the audience watched the older beauties grace the catwalk in an array of floral prints and elegant monochrome pieces.
