She’s already one of our biggest beauty inspirations, so it's no small compliment to say that Hannah Waddingham has just unveiled what might be our favourite look yet. The actress appeared at a special BAFTA screening for The Woman In Cabin 10, and her beauty makeover was as thrilling as any Netflix drama.
Topping the billing was her hair, featuring a gleaming blonde shade that truly underscores Hannah's status as a Hollywood star. The colour, dubbed ‘lemon platinum’ by hair stylist and trendspotter Tom Smith, has been singled out as one of his key colour trends for 2025 and it’s one we’ve also seen Jennifer Lopez adopting for her upcoming role in Kiss of the Spider Woman. As a shorthand for ‘Oscar buzz’, this is one heck of a statement blonde.
As Tom explains: ‘ Lemon platinum is a bright and gleaming lemon sorbet tone, perfect for those who can never feel blonde enough. It’s the brighter, fresher and cleaner alternative to the deeper, more copper-toned ‘golden hour’ blonde shades we’ve also seen trending lately.’

Hannah paired her shiny shade with a collarbone-grazing bob, and layers softly rolled back from her face to spotlight her fabulous cheekbone and those green eyes. Her mascara work never fails to impress.
As you’d no doubt guess, lemon platinum is a colour that’s very much suited to a high-maintenance Hollywood lifestyle, with time to have ultra-regular root-touch ups. ‘It requires a full prelightener (bleaching) followed by a specific toner using a very diluted golden blonde,’ says Tom. ‘The lift is what is most important, it should be very clean and as blonde as possible.’
Hannah’s hair definitely nails that part of the brief, and the expensive feel was underlined by her manicure.
A zoom in on her hands reveals cuticles immaculately nourished cuticles and a very luxe-looking ‘milky French manicure’.
This is an ombre spin on a classic French, where the lighter tips are softly blurred into the main, creamy-pink nail colour. It’s a trending look loved by other A-listers like Jennifer Aniston and JLo, and a great way to breathe freshness into a French manicure for autumn.
We also know from her regular nail artist, Jenni Draper, that Hannah’s hands get a level of prep worthy of a facial when she’s about to step out on the red carpet.
Dehydration lines are plumped out with hyaluronic face serum, and she’s regularly treated to a high-tech hand treatment involving CACI’s moisture-filled gloves and CACI professional microcurrent electro-gloves over the top for maximum lifting and plumping.
