The hit drama will officially air new episodes beginning Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 8 p.m. on CBS, and everyone is on edge to see what's in store for Colter Shaw and those he works with on the daily. While folks are desperate for new episodes, Justin (who stars in the show and is an executive producer) went on Instagram on September 24 to deliver an update we've been waiting for.
Sharing a link to the Tracker season 3 trailer, folks got to see Justin back in action as Colter. Amid taking on new cases, viewers also got the chance to see Jensen Ackles return as Colter's brother Russell, making things even more exciting about the future of the show.
"What we’ve been up to," Justin wrote alongside the clip in the caption. "Season 3 begins Oct 19th on @cbstv and @paramountplus. @trackercbs Our best yet."
As soon as fans realized Justin had a surprise update about Tracker season 3, they immediately got hyped up.

And as far as what fans can expect to see from the first episode of Tracker season 3, CBS decided to share some details about it in an August 2025 press release.
In the Tracker season 3 premiere (titled "The Process"), viewers will see Colter struggle with the truth behind how his dad really died. Elsewhere, Colter and Russell team up to find a missing wife and daughter. While there's a reunion involved, it causes a chain of events that seemingly give way to an even bigger case that may show up throughout the rest of the season.
