- Starbucks is bringing back its raspberry syrup.
- The flavor will only be back for a limited time, starting in July.
- The reintroduction is the first in a series of flavors that will be making a return throughout the coming months.
Starbucks fans, get ready for a berry good summer! Alongside their new summer drink lineup, summer merchandise and seasonal cup collaborations, Starbucks has announced the return of a favorite item.
No, we're not talking about a reprisal of their Iced Matcha Lemonade or Java Chip Frappacino, though those would be welcome. We're talking about something more specific.
While discussing the brand's new strategy at the Starbucks Leadership Experience in Las Vegas recently, the coffee giant announced plans to bring back their fan-favorite raspberry syrup ... for a limited time.
"Under the Back to Starbucks strategy, the company is reimagining and modernizing its beverages and food to build a relevant, hype-worthy global menu that will resonate with customers," said the brand in its June 10 press release. "Starbucks will also be bringing back raspberry syrup for a very limited time this July to delight fans, and the company plans to bring more flavor drops in the future."
This is exciting to customers for multiple reasons. It opens the door for many new fruity drink possibilities, including an Iced Raspberry Matcha Latte, a Raspberry Lemonade and a Raspberry Mocha, with raspberry secret menu items sure to arise.
This reintroduction is also exciting because the brand confirmed it will not be a standalone event. Starbucks plans to revive other flavors, meaning discontinued syrups like mango, almond, butterscotch and Valencia orange could make their way back onto the menu, at least for a limited time.
While a companion drink has not been announced, many are speculating that a raspberry beverage might be on the docket for July's menu. Whisperings of a Raspberry Cream Cold Brew have floated around, but Starbucks has yet to confirm.
What discontinued Starbucks syrup would you like to see return?
