Lacey Chabert is heading back to the world of movies ... and she's bringing some spooky acting friends along for the ride.
Viewers know the actress for her ever-growing list of movies she's starred in on Hallmark, along with other TV shows and shopping projects for the network. What's more, Lacey's 2022 film Haul Out the Holly was a fan favorite among audiences, with the sequel Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up premiering in 2023.
Well, it looks like Lacey's expanding the movie franchise for Hallmark once again. She revealed she's working on a movie called Haul Out the Halloween for the 2025 "Fall Into Love" programming event. But that's not all she shared about the project. As she uploaded an Instagram video on June 6, she revealed two new actors joining the cast. Along with cast mates Melissa Peterman, Stephen Tobolowsky, Wes Brown and Ellen Travolta, Lacey announced former Halloweentown actors (and real-life married couple) Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz are also starring in the new film.
"Our new neighbors on Evergreen Lane are really into Halloween 🎃 #iykyk," she cheekily wrote in the caption. "Haul Out the Halloween coming to Hallmark Channel this fall! What a dream to return to Evergreen Lane!"
When fans discovered Lacey announcing Kimberly and Daniel's casting in Haul Out the Halloween, it didn't take long before excitement flooded the comments.
"Ahhhhh!!!! I am so excited!!!!! Please say this is for real?!?," one person exclaimed. "OMG this is amazing. I loved Halloweentown as a kid and now Hallmark as an adult! Two worlds colliding will be an epic Fall!" another declared. "THIS!!! It will be so much fun with this awesome cast!! Love it and can’t wait!!" a different follower added.
For those who aren't familiar with Kimberly, she famously played Marnie Piper in the first three movies of the Halloweentown franchise on the Disney Channel. As for Daniel, he played Kal in the sequel Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge that premiered in 2001. Given that Lacey loves to bring up '90s nostalgia (like reuniting with former co-stars) as part of her work on Hallmark, having the couple star in Haul Out the Halloween feels like a perfect fit!
As for what Haul Out the Halloween will be about, Hallmark's official website writes that Daniel and Kimberly will play a spooky new couple who move into a house on Evergreen Lane. As a way to celebrate Halloween (which doesn't get as much love as Christmas on the street), Lacey's character organizes the inaugural EverSCREAM Lane (which includes a carnival, contests and "haunted hijinks") to help evoke the spirit of the holiday.
Guess we know what movie we'll have to watch this fall!
