Valerie Bertinelli and her son Wolfgang "Wolfie" Van Halen have an incredible bond — and they're making it permanent in an all-new way.
As a way to commemorate Mother's Day on May 11, the actress and the Mammoth WVH frontman (whose dad is Valerie's ex-husband, the late Eddie Van Halen) decided to do try something different while spending time together. As Valerie revealed on Instagram, she and Wolfie chose to get matching tattoos to symbolize their love for one another. As the two each sat in the tattoo chair, artist Tokyo Hiro inked the duo with small images of what appeared to be a globe on their arms. What's more, Valerie got emotional as she explained how special it was for her and Wolfie to do this together.
"Getting the second half of our matching tattoos," she wrote. "To the 🌙 and back @wolfvanhalen my biggest blessing and most fulfilling joy is being your mother. Thank you @tokyohiro! ♥️🌎🔁🌙♥️."
It was clear Valerie wasn't the only one who got sentimental over this family excursion. Shortly after she posted the update, Wolfie went to the comments to publicly declare his love for his mother.
"Love you Maaaaaaaaaa ❤️❤️❤️," he replied.
Valerie's post definitely had fans in their feels about this — and they made sure to let her know their thoughts online.
"How cool is this & with the best!! Love this so much for you both! 🙌🏼☺️💖," one person wrote. "You guys are amazing. There’s so much love between you," another declared. "Our kids are our greatest accomplishment. Proud mama! ❤️," a different follower added.
As fans know, Valerie is no stranger to displaying her love for Wolfie whenever she can. In fact, she was by his side at the 2024 Oscars when he was part of the team behind Best Original Song nominee "I'm Just Ken" from Barbie.
We so love this for Valerie and Wolfie!
