Trisha Yearwood has been a fixture on the country music scene for more than 30 years, but, with today's announcement, she's proving that she can still surprise her fans.

The superstar has been teasing a new project for a few months. Back in February, she performed at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe and her setlist included all-new music. Then, she shared a performance of her new song "The Wall or the Way Over" on The Kelly Clarkson Show. We now know exactly what Trisha has been up to, and it's huge.

The "She's in Love with the Boy" singer posted a video on Instagram that shows her writing in lipstick on a mirror. The message reads, "The Mirror, July 18." She took to the caption to explain what's going on: "My first fully co-written and co-produced album, 'The Mirror' will be yours on July 18th. This is a new chapter for me and one I cannot wait to share with you, so two songs are dropping tomorrow to give you a taste of what’s to come. I am so proud of this record and hope you love it as much as I loved creating it. xoxo"

When she visited The Kelly Clarkson Show, she said that she has typically "hidden behind the music." She explained that she could say, "Well, this song is really personal, but I didn't write it." This album is different: "I can't say that about these songs. So performing some of them made me really emotional."

Trisha's fans jumped to the comments section to share their excitement about the new album:

  • "Wooo!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ"
  • "SO ready for this chapter! The songs have been phenomenal so far - can’t wait to hear the full album! πŸ™ŒπŸ”₯"
  • "YESSS!!😍😍 Seriously so excited and so proud of you!😭🩡"
  • "I think this will be your best album!!"

Trisha is heading on the road for a limited tour this month. If you can't wait until July 18 for her new music, get your tickets now!
