Now that the 2025 Oscars have come and gone, we can talk about some of our favorite moments during the star-studded ceremony. And one of the most touching ones include Goldie Hawn.
Viewers may remember how Goldie appeared on the telecast as a presenter for Best Animated Film. She went onstage alongside Andrew Garfield, who brought her to tears about how much her work meant to his late mother. He thanked Goldie for bringing his mother "the most joy, the most comfort" before she died in 2019 from pancreatic cancer.
Everyone was moved by the moment, including Goldie's son, Oliver Hudson, who decided to share a post about it on Instagram.
"This was so touching and unexpected," he wrote on March 3. "Andrew that was beautiful my man. I cried, I laughed, I swelled with pride and then became concerned that my mom was now gonna love Andrew Garfield more than me.. I’m still not sure where I stand. She hasn’t responded to my texts so … @goldiehawn."
When fans caught on to Oliver's thoughts about Goldie and Andrew's Oscars moment, they immediately agreed with his sentiments on it.
"The world needs a whole lot of Goldie joy right now. What a treasure. 😍," one person wrote in the comments. "It was amazing 🤩! Goldie is our family’s absolute favorite! She’s one of a kind!! ❤️🙌🥰🥳," another agreed. "It was so beautiful and genuine! He was meant to present with her!" a different follower agreed.
Luckily for Oliver, Goldie eventually responded, but only on his Instagram. "I’m sorry I didn’t answer your texts honey, I was talking to Andrew," she wrote.
Ah, we love this family!
