It's officially 2025, and it's a time to celebrate a new year with new intentions. For those who want to try something different in the kitchen, chef and cookbook author Vivian Aronson is here to help spice things up.
In her latest cookbook, The Asian Market Cookbook: How to Find Superior Ingredients to Elevate Your Asian Home Cooking, Vivian encourages home cooks to explore all the flavors of authentic Chinese cuisine — while keeping recipes approachable. In celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year (also known as Chinese New Year) on January 29, the MasterChef alum is hosting an interactive cooking demo fit for beginner and experienced cooks alike.
The special "Live in the Kitchen" event with TalkShopLive and Walmart is taking place on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 7 p.m. ET. Vivian will walk viewers through the step-by-process for making Dan Dan Noodles (a common Asian dish, per Michelin, that is rich in both history and flavor). You can also order a signed copy of her cookbook, which makes a great Lunar New Year gift for yourself or a loved one.
