Kate Hudson is showing a lot of love to her stepdad Kurt Russell, and fans can't stop getting emotional about it.
On March 17, Kurt marked a personal milestone by celebrating his 74th birthday. As a way to pay tribute to the man whose been in her life since 1983, Kate (whose mom is Kurt's partner Goldie Hawn) posted a series of rare throwback photos of the twosome and their family on Instagram. What's more, Kate took the occasion to get nostalgic and share just how special Kurt's presence has been throughout her life.
"Love this man so much!" she emotionally wrote in the caption. "Happy birthday Pa! 🎉🎊🎈You are truly one of a kind ❤️❤️."
When fans saw the sweet reason for Kate to highlight her relationship with Kurt online, they immediately had to comment on how special their bond was.
"Love them! Beautiful family. ❤️," one person wrote. "Such a great family!!! 💖💖," another agreed. "Happy belated birthday! Your family are truly beautiful! Love all your pictures 💕," a different follower added.
As fans know, Kurt and Goldie (who famously never married throughout their decades-long romance) share four children together. Kurt has son Boston Russell, whom he shares with ex-wife Season Hubley, while Goldie has Kate and her brother Oliver Hudson. The couple also welcomed son Wyatt Russell, and the brood loves to support one another at various events.
What's more, this isn't the first time Kate has gone on social media to honor her stepdad. Back in June 2024, she also paid tribute to Kurt on Father's Day, posting more photos of time spent together over the years.
"You got that right Loretta!" she wrote on Instagram at the time. "I love my Pa so much! What a man, lucky me 💫 Love you Pa ❤️ Happy Father’s Day!"
This is so wholesome, and we love seeing how close Kurt and Kate are after all this time!
