When Calls the Heart fans, you won't believe which star is making his way back to Hallmark.

Fans may remember actor Daniel Lissing for portraying Jack Thornton in the first five seasons of the hit drama. While he eventually left after season 5 (with his character being tragically killed off), viewers kept up on Daniel's career to see what other acting projects he was working on.

Most recently, it was revealed that Daniel will be starring in a new movie for the network, titled Single on the 25th. And if that's not enough to excite fans, the actor's latest film (which also stars Lyndsy Fonseca) will air on December 7, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET Hallmark, as part of the official 2025 "Countdown to Christmas" lineup.

"SAVE THE DATE!!!!!" the caption read on Instagram on September 17. "@daniellissing and @lyndsyfonseca star on 'Single on the 25th' on @hallmarkchannel arriving December 7th at 8pm ET!!! 🎉🎉🎉."

Shortly after the news broke online, Daniel had to go to the comments and share his thrill about working with Hallmark again.

"My prediction … this will be a fan favorite 🤩," he replied.

When fans realized Daniel would be making his way back to Hallmark for the holiday season, they were immediately excited.

"Can’t wait! So excited to see Dan on screen!! ❤️👏," one person wrote in the comments. "YES YES YES!!! I need more Jack in my life❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," another exclaimed. "Yay! Looking forward to seeing it!" a different follower added.

And let's not forget—this isn't the only holiday movie Daniel has done with Hallmark as of late.

Back in 2024, he reunited with former When Calls the Heart co-star Erin Krakow (who plays Jack's widow, Elizabeth Thornton) for the 2024 Hallmark film Santa Tell Me. And Daniel isn't the only WCTH cast member who has a holiday film coming out this year, as Ben Rosenbaum (who plays Mike Hickam)'s movie The Christmas Cup is set to air on Hallmark on November 30, 2025 at 6 p.m. ET.
