Best-Ever Ranch Dressing

Buttermilk and Greek yogurt give this creamy ranch dressing its "Best-Ever" status.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Pinch sugar
  • 1/2 cup loosely packed fresh parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. snipped chives

Directions

    1. Step 1In blender, puree buttermilk, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic, pinch sugar, 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper until smooth.
    2. Step 2Add parsley and chives; pulse until just finely chopped.
    3. Step 3Keeps, refrigerated, up to 2 weeks. Dressing may separate; stir before using.

Spice up your Best-Ever Ranch with one of these flavorful variations:

Avocado-Lime: In step 1, replace lemon juice with 3 tablespoons lime juice and replace salt with 3 tablespoons soy sauce; replace yogurt and Dijon with 1 small ripe avocado. Makes about 2 cups.

Spicy Chipotle: In step 1, add 2 small chipotles in adobo. In step 2, replace parsley with cilantro. Makes about 2 1/3 cups.

Green Goddess: In step 1, add 4 anchovies (or 2 teaspoon anchovy paste). In step 2, add 1/4 cup packed basil and 3 tablespoons tarragon. Makes about 2 1/3 cups.
